I had a day that was a lot craptacular and some parts okay. Maybe even good.
I'm pissed that even with 60 lbs gone I'm a size 14 in my choral dress. But it's that evil bridesmaid dress sizing so I'm not gonna let it get to me.
Too much. :)
The bad...
I rushed with a webcast set up the other day and had to scramble last minute today because of it. No one died and it went off only slightly delayed but I hate making mistakes.
See above about the dress.
Some spam monster invaded my email box.
The good...
I walked to chorus - 2.5 miles.
I hit that blasted high C tonight. More than once. Go me!!
I got a check from my insurance company. For $20 but still.
But as Scarlett says, "Tomorrow - is another day."
Man, I was all fired up getting back from rehearsal but now I'm crashing so here's the scoop.
Lunch was leftover veggie chili. I didn't add a starch but was so hungry after dinner maybe I should have.
Dinner was a half a piece of leftover chicken with honey mustard and spinach on a whole wheat EM.
Bed for me. See you in the morning!
Good for you, as sizing is never straight across the board. You can be a different size in every single store.
ReplyDelete:D Go you on hitting that high C!! Woot woot ! What are you guys working on? I love choral music - just hated being in one because I wanted to do my bit and be done with it. Having to listen to the other sections rehearse was just torture.
I know. I didn't expect to be a 10 or anything but I'm right on the border b/t 12 & 14 according to their chart. I decided to err on the side of caution.
ReplyDeleteWe're doing Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms and the first movement is evil incarnate for a first alto like moi. We sing in the first soprano range for a good portion of it. Without a good warmup it's impossible.
It's not so bad. Tuesdays are just long days for me. We rehearse for 3 hrs. But we divide a lot in rehearsals so it's usually just our section in a little practice room after the warm up. The payoff is that in addition to our own little bitty concert we combine with a bunch of other choral groups and will sing the Psalms at Carnegie Hall in May. :)
