Hi! I'm Krissy. I am a Meeting and Event Planner who used to live in a teeny tiny apartment in NYC.
In the course of a year I got married, moved to New Jersey, inherited 3 step kids and now have a hilarious toddler.
My family all live close by and I spend a lot of time with them and my 3 adorable nieces.
Two years ago I'd had enough of feeling unhealthy and unhappy and I sought the help of a Registered Dietician. With her guidance and a lot of hard work I lost 60 lbs.
Then I gained back 30. Then I got pregnant. Then got right back to where I started.
Cooking is one of my favorite pastimes and I've found that cooking - even if it's just for little old me - has been a huge factor in my being successful at weight loss. Most of my old recipes serve 1 person (+ a little bit of leftovers).
My food philosophy is pretty simple. I eat what I like and just try and do it in the most healthy way possible. Portion control really is the key. I try and use as many vegetables while cooking as I can. I'm not quite as good at eating fruit but that changes a bit in the summertime.
Nowadays I'm focused on fast, easy, healthy meals that can feed six people (or more).
I try my best to find time to exercise and to keep the rest of myself in shape as well.
In my free time I love movies, reading, pop culture trivia, eating out and singing.
I don't have much free time anymore!
