Friday (early)

Shhh...I need you to be a little quiet. We had a bit of a night last night.

I'm done for a couple of months.

Seriously.

I started with a little PB on a sandwich thin with a few oranges on the side.

We went to lunch at Bru's Room in Deerfield Beach.

We had fried pickles. YUM.

And Jen and I both had a buffalo chicken salad.

We're also bringing back the 1987 rope bracelet. Get ready.

btw - Erin did that manicure herself. Just so you know. :)

I'm trying to upload the rest of the pictures from yesterday but the connection is very slow. I'll be back in a bit with the delicious dinner we had at Dada in Delray Beach. So yummy!!

Dinner for Three

Jen, Erin and I went to a place called Fah for dinner last night.

Twas yummy.

I started with some Sauvignon Blanc.

Jen had some Kirin Light and Erin had sake.

And we had some edamame, shumai and chicken gyoza.

I had a little of this salad - too much dressing for me. I ate the cucumber and a little bit of lettuce.

And the Spicy Shrimp and Noodles for dinner. Just spicy enough for me. I have a good bit of it leftover.

When we got home I had a little dish of ice cream.

Plans today are very low key - a quick run, some shopping and lunch somewhere along the way. It's 80 and sunny here today.

See you later!!

Vacation

I'm on vacation now. Woo hoo!! Jen and I are visiting my uncle and cousin in Boca Raton. I'm happy to be someplace warm. It's nice to get away.

Yesterday afternoon I got a ride home and had a little dinner.

A burger and a few sweet potato fries. There were more fries than this - but not much more.

I had a piece of chocolate for dessert. Just a couple of squares.

Allie had this.

This morning I ate a piece of whole wheat bread with peanut butter. Then Jen and I took the world's most annoying flight to Ft. Lauderdale. YAY for vacation!!! Boo for people who pretend you're invisible and think nothing of knocking you around the entire flight.

I ate a handful or two of cashews while trying not to kill anyone in the rows around me.

Oh and I also almost got run over by a car at the airport.

Let's hope I've gotten all the bad luck out of the way for this trip!

It's 5 o'clock somewhere.

Actually it's 5 o'clock now but it wasn't when I started. :)

I had a turkey and swiss sandwich with honey mustard and a little potato salad.

and a few unpictured pretzels.

Speaking of pretzels...I also had this bit of chocolate in my purse. Jen and I shared it.

We're probably heading out for dinner tonight - so stay tuned for pictures of Florida eats soon.

Have a happy Thursday!

(3)60

I don't have exciting lunch pictures - see yesterday's lunch if you are curious - but I do have good news (FINALLY!)

I went to weigh in and lost 3 lbs.

OK. 2.8 lbs. I'm saying 3.

This allows me to officially say I've lost 60 lbs. It's taken a bit longer than a year - but I'm there. It's my lowest recorded weight since I started seeing M in Oct 2008.

Woo hoo!!

I actually skipped the gym this morning and just spent a few hours getting my nails done. I'm going to definitely get a few workouts in in Florida so no big deal.

And also - three pounds!!!

I'll be back at dinner. Just needed to share. :)

Weight and See

Fingers are crossed today that I have let go of some of this weight I've been carrying around. I have an appointment at 11:30. I'd take as little as a half a pound - I'd be thrilled with just one. I am in desperate need of something positive these days.

I'm not sure if last night helped my efforts in that regard.

For lunch I had some leftover pizza:

Get used to this - I'm having it today too. :)

Plus 2 Dove hearts for dessert:

I went to the gym and ran/incline walked for 35 minutes. It was good to get back to it.

There was an event planners reception at Celsius in Bryant Park last night. It's a makeshift (albeit a sturdy one) restaurant/bar right next to The Pond in Bryant Park.

NOTE TO TOURISTS: This rink is beautiful and less crowded than Rockefeller Center. If you are here Nov.-Jan. I'd say give it a try. Rock Center charges $10-$14 + $9 skate rental. The Pond is free admission and $12 skate rental.

Sorry for the crappy photos. My Blackberry and camera both died and I was left with my rinky dink cell phone.

It was the most bizarre group of people I've ever seen assembled. The behaviour of some of the guests was appalling. Whenever a tray of hors d'oeuvres came out it was like a feeding frenzy.

The space is really cool - I'd love to plan something there - but the drinks were way too sweet and it's weird to me that we were invited to see the space 4 days before it shuts down for the season. ???

Oh well. It was nice to see the space anyway!

I had a 'Cosmo' to start. I guess it's a Cosmo. It tasted incredibly peachy. I took one sip. I couldn't stand it quite frankly!! Pretty little drink though!

I had a glass of red wine instead.

Starving - Patti and I headed over the the Bryant Park Grill and parked ourselves at the bar. I had some delicious crab cakes w/honey mustard and arugula and we split some fries.

And a nutty, oaty roll.

And I switched to white wine.

This morning I had some cereal for breakfast. It's time to get back to eating like I'm trying to lose weight instead of maintain it.

The plan today is gym, weigh in, packing, mani/pedi, and a trip out to Long Island.

I'll check in again later this afternoon.

See you then!
