Did you miss her?

I did!!

I had dinner w/some coworkers tonight at Haru - 43rd St. location.

In attendance - straight from the city of the 2008 *ahem* World Series Champions (not to be confused with the 2009 World Series Champions who also were World Series Champions 26 other times before) was my friend Meghan. You may remember Meghan from a previous post. She was in NY for work. We used to share a cubicle and I miss her. It was great to see catch up with her - and some other of my favorite coworkers too! Here she is - back on the blog where she belongs.

That pretty pink drink supposedly tasted like cough syrup. Don't try the Berries and Bubbles is what I'm saying.

Have wine instead.

We started with edamame. I love edamame.

Vegetable Dumplings. I really love dumplings.

I had the Shrimp Tempura roll as my entree. I put all the wasabi in my soy sauce for dipping. I'm going to get this cold out of here if it kills me.

Basically I just loved the whole dinner - almost as much as the company.

Another dinner out tomorrow night - with a group of people who don't know I blog.

This should be interesting!

Stay tuned.

  2. Great pics! Just found your blog through Jenna's. I've never had sushi!!?? Or edamame - are they similar to sugar snap peas? Check out my site if you wish - I'm always looking for great new sites and readers :) Hope your dinner goes well tonight...what will they say about you taking pictures!!?

  3. Jocie - they were!

eatmovelove - Welcome!! To be fair - my idea of sushi depends on the fish component actually being cooked!! Tempura rolls or any kind of shrimp roll really guarantees that. If you like rice and cucumber and shrimp you'll like these I think - or pick a California roll to start - which is crab and avocado. Edmame is sort of similar to snap peas except they are soybeans and you don't eat the pod - you just sort of suck the bean out.

That sounds kind of gross now that I say it aloud - but they are really very tasty. And good for you!! The pods are steamed and sprinkled with sea salt.

  4. PS: I just checked out your blog. That pizza looks so delicious! And I don't know what they will say. It's another group of coworkers - so maybe 2-3 of them are aware and the rest aren't. Guess I'm just going to have to suck it up!
