Batter's Eye

We had awesome seats for today's game. We sat in the "Batter's Eye" in between the bullpens right in center field.

Welcome back Brett Gardner! Nice catch! Oh and here's me - in all my dorky Yankee glory!

We all split a hot pretzel with mustard. Then I had a hot dog.

2 of these onion rings and about a handful of fries. They had no salt. :(

A few sips of my mom's milkshake.

We were right next to the bullpen as I said so we got to see Mo warm up.

And then go out to pitch.

We were supposed to go to Arthur Ave in the Bronx for dinner but it was a hassle getting there from the Stadium so we ended up in Harlem at Patsy's instead.

I started with mussels. I also had a piece of shrimp marinara. The pic I took looks like a bowl of sauce though so imagine a piece of shrimp here too. :)

Then had Fussili alla Avilla which had shrimp, sundried tomatoes and asparagus. I have half of it leftover.

I went double fisted at dinner. Yankee Stadium, Citi Field AND the US Open are all Pepsi'd out. What is going on in America?!?!

PS: I had a second glass of wine as well.

And for dessert we split the homemade chocolate souffle.

I have chorus rehearsal tomorrow so I'm currently baking chocolate chip pound cake to bring with me. The pans I have are so small I had to make two. I can't keep one around here though - too dangerous.

Gym in the morning. Gym in the morning ALL WEEK this week. Yikes. Gonna be tough. I got a good night's sleep last night. I want to try for 2 in a row. Wish me luck!

Happy (almost over) Labor Day one and all! How did you spend this lovely holiday weekend?

  1. Greetings from Red Sox Nation. ;)

That chocolate souffle looks so good. The pasta with shrimp and asparagus looks good and reasonably healthy, too -- balanced. :)

  2. Ugh. Red Sox. I'm going to pretend you didn't say that. :P LOL!

The souffle was good - they make them to order so it was pefectly warm. Not gonna lie - a scoop of vanilla would have made it better.
