I cannot for the life of me step into Target or CVS without dropping a hundred bucks.
Seriously.
Granted it is all stuff I need and part of that big bill was due to my allergies acting up and needing more Zyrtec but still. Mindboggling.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I slept like a rock. I take it back. Ben is still my favorite but Christie's class kicked my ass. I ache in different places today. I guess it's always good to switch things up a bit.
I woke up around 7 and was antsy so I decided to run a quick errand.
Oh OK. And I was also out of Diet Coke. :)
I was happy to see they had 4 12 packs for $13. They are usually close to $6 each so I sucked it up and dragged them home.
And I picked up breakfast.
McDonalds is conveniently right next to CVS. I longingly watched them take a fresh batch of hash browns out of the fryer but I stood strong and just got the sandwich.
I never ate a lot of fast food. That's not at all why I gained so much weight. I certainly at times of my life ate more than I do now. I used to be a Quarter Pounder girl (especially umm...after I went out the night before) - but now I'm all Egg McMuffins and Grilled Chicken Snack Wraps.
But I can't lie. Sometimes I crave french fries like no one's business.
Hmmm. This is the second Friday I've eaten this breakfast. Not terrible but I shouldn't make it a habit I don't think.
I've got a pretty packed day. I'm pretty much going to be on the phone from 10:30 till about 3 PM. I can't wait for the day to be over and it's barely started.
The saving grace is that I'm working from home.
I'm thinking leftovers for lunch and homemade pizza for dinner. At around 5 I'm going to run to the gym.
And that's my day in a nutshell. See you later!
I can go into CVS and not spend very much. At Target or Walmart the bill is usually over $100. Lots of stuff, decent prices... I usually manage to get things I need, but sometimes there are some extras thrown in.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday. Look at me, all caught up. ;)
- Kev.
Target is dangerous. I must have spent thousands and thousands of dollars there over the years. I totally feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteThere isn't a Target in Manhattan so thankfully I am pretty safe from there unless I go home to LI. Drug stores in general suck my money though. I guess it's because I always stock up on a million things at once.
