Summer Streets

Today was Summer Streets on Park Ave. Basically it's a free for all - the streets are closed to motor vehicles and people can bike, run, walk, roller blade in the middle of the street. The top pic was not from today - I snagged it from the Summer Streets website. I couldn't get a good enough pic to give you all the full experience. :)

They also have live entertainment and classes. They were giving tennis lessons near me.

I came home from a very intense Zumba class and had a bit of pizza.

Then my mom and sister came in. We were going to do some shopping but decided against it. We went to see Harry Potter and before the movie we went to a place nearby got a little snack.

White wine spritzer

Fried calamari

Then the movie where I split a small popcorn with my mom. No pic - way too dark!

Then we walked a little and went to Almond for dinner.

I ordered the mussels and fries (fries for the table to share) and a zucchini & leek ragout.

Do ragouts always have potatoes in them? Inquiring minds want to know.

And a really nice white wine:

It was a Picpoul Blanc. Really delicious.

We all wanted dessert but really were looking for something simple. And there really is nothing simpiler -or cheaper for that matter than a McDonald's cone.

I did A LOT of walking today.

Over 11 miles.

Over 23,000 steps.

I don't know what I'd ever do if I moved out of the city. I guess walk a lot less for one!

I'm debating a day off from exercise or Zumba again tomorrow. We'll see how I feel in the morning. Hope you all had a great day!
